Book Boutique & Holiday Mixer

Come to the Chicago Women in Publishing (CWIP) Book Boutique & Holiday Mixer want to celebrate the season, reflect on the year with our friends and colleagues, and, most of all, highlight the creative accomplishments of our amazing members.

On Wednesday, December 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., we’ll be gathering downtown at Brando’s Speakeasy to eat, drink, and be merry with CWIP members and our industry friends and colleagues. Members with published works (including children’s fiction, nonfiction, and even an indie rock CD) will be selling at the event so you can support their creativity.

Here’s your chance to pick up a new book from a local author and hear about the many paths to publication, while mingling with other members and friends in publishing and having a great time, too.

We understand that money is tight and you’ve got a lot on your plate at the end of the year, so this event is free for everyone. We’d love for you to show your support of our local authors and Brando’s by spending your hard-earned dollars on books, food, and perhaps a libation or two.

Most authors will be accepting payment via credit cards, but feel free to bring cash or your checkbook. We can’t wait to see you soon! See you there!
