Self-Publishing and Publicity Panel
Our April 17 program on self-publishing and publicity will look at the various aspects of successfully self-publishing and promoting your work.
New technology and distribution channels allow for a more entrepreneurial and "do-it-yourself" approach to getting published. Now, you can publish on your own time and dime, without the need for a book deal from a traditional publisher. But with this new freedom, self-published authors have to do the work that publishing houses typically used to do—or hire others to do it. Gain insight from a panel of experts as they explain the process of editing, designing, formatting, printing, and marketing self-published books.
You'll learn:
Our panel includes: Kim Bookless, Paula Krapf, Florence Osmund, and Linda Wolf.
Find out what you need to do to successfully self-publish!
After our program, we invite you to continue the conversation at AraOn (located on the first floor of 190 S. LaSalle), where you can share your self-publishing experiences, ask questions, or simply relax and enjoy the company of your colleagues. If you’re a self-published author, bring your book and share it with the rest of us. There’s no extra charge—just pay for your own food and drink. We hope to see you there!
