Independent Writers of Chicago
What if you could learn from the career experiences of other successful freelance writers -- mainly, the mistakes they made that have cost them time, money or at worst, a client! It would be great if you were able to avoid the same ones yourself, right?
In this absorbing and (we predict) entertaining September program, a panel of IWOC-ers with lucrative careers share their most painful missteps and what we all can learn from them. There'll be a lot of laughs and even more lessons in this not-to-be-missed session.
Networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m. Note: Our Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Elections will begin at 5:45, followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting is FREE for IWOC members. Non-members pay $10 with online preregistration/payment or $15 at the door.
All attendees are welcome to join us for a buy-your-own dinner at a nearby restaurant after the meeting.
IWOC monthly meetings are held in Room 4F at the Gratz Center, 126 E. Chestnut Street, adjacent to the historic Fourth Presbyterian Church (see map, below).
