While it seems many writing arenas are shrinking, there is one area that continues to grow exponentially. Ghostwriting. In fact, it is estimated that nearly 80 percent of all published non-fiction is ghostwritten, both in the bookstores and online.

Learn how you can get in on the action! Join us at the February meeting where IWOC member Julie Polanco will present a program on ghostwriting, addressing a number of questions about “ghosting.” They include: What is ghostwriting and what does it involve? What kinds of projects do ghostwriters undertake? How do you break in and where do you find ghostwriting projects? Do you have what it takes to be a ghostwriter?

Networking, with snacks and beverages, begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting is free for IWOC members. Non-members pay $10 with online preregistration/payment or $15 at the door. And all attendees are welcome to join us afterward for a buy-your-own dinner at nearby Tempo Café!

Meeting Location

IWOC monthly meetings are held in Room 4F at the Gratz Center, 126 E. Chestnut Street, adjacent to the historic Fourth Presbyterian Church (see map, below).

Discounted parking after 5:00pm is available (with validation coupon available at the meeting) at 900 N. Michigan Avenue.
